Description
Here on DA I've been often asked about my technique and methods for my artworks in the 'Art Nouveau' style – so I’ve decided to publish this scheme.
1 – Inked lineart (on two A4 sheets)
2 – Scanner, then digital coloring (flat)
3 – Print of no.2 (on two cream-coloured A4 sheets, 130 gr) [the junction between the 2 sheets was at the height of her hips – here not visibile], then colored pencils for the shades
4 – FINAL VERSION. Scanning of no.3, digital post-production (I made the colors more pale/mute and applied a layer of light brown color, to get closer to the palette of Mucha)
If you do not know much about watercolor, but have a scanner and a printer, I suggest you to try this method. It’s very simpler and, with a little care, you might get pretty good results.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
